Clean Water Metering Teams – United Utilities Contract

Location: North West
Yard Base: Leigh, WN7

Operatives will load and unload materials and equipment from our Leigh yard each day before travelling to site.

Scope of Works

• Installation of external boundary boxes and water meters for domestic properties.
• Excavation, installation, backfilling and reinstatement.
• Reinstatement materials include:
  • Tarmac
  • Flags
  • Concrete
  • Unmade ground

All operatives must work in accordance with client specifications and wear the correct PPE at all times.

One member of the team must be competent in using a tablet and completing client electronic forms.

Required Qualifications

Each operative must hold:

• EUSR Water Hygiene – MUST
• SHEA Water (can obtain once started works)
• Manual Handling
• Asbestos Awareness (can obtain once started works)
• EUSR Abrasive Wheels   (can obtain once started works)

In addition:

• At least on operative must hold EUSR Cat 1 & Cat 2
• At least one operative must hold Full Streetworks Units 1-8.
• At least one operative must be able to drive and tow a trailer.
• Driving licence must be clean or have no more than 3 points.

Rates – United Utilities Contract

This is price work.

Target: 20 boxes per week

• Below target: £80 per box
• 20 boxes achieved: £90 per box
• 25+ boxes achieved: £100 per box

The gang can decide how they split the earnings, although typical splits are:

• £45 / £45

£50 / £40 (Foreman / Operative)
