Regional Quality Nurse – Yorkshire

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for clinical excellence, quality improvement and supporting care teams to deliver outstanding standards?

We are recruiting for a Regional Quality Nurse to provide clinical and quality support across a portfolio of nursing and residential care services throughout Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse, Clinical Lead, Quality Nurse or senior clinical professional who enjoys working across multiple services, identifying areas for improvement and supporting Home Managers and clinical teams to achieve the very best outcomes for residents.

The role will involve regular travel across the region, alongside an element of remote and home-based working.

The Role

Working closely with Home Managers and senior operational teams, you will monitor clinical standards, provide professional guidance and support services to maintain safe, effective and person-centred care.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out clinical and quality audits across multiple care services
• Reviewing care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation
• Monitoring medication management and medicines governance
• Supporting infection prevention and control standards
• Reviewing safeguarding practices and clinical incidents
• Identifying clinical risks, trends and areas requiring improvement
• Developing and monitoring action plans with Home Managers
• Providing clinical advice, guidance and support to nursing teams
• Coaching and developing Nurses and senior care colleagues
• Supporting services with regulatory compliance and inspection preparation
• Analysing quality information and producing clear reports and recommendations
• Supporting the implementation of best practice across the region
• Contributing to clinical policies, procedures and quality initiatives
• Promoting consistently high standards of person-centred care

About You

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
• Strong post-registration nursing experience
• Experience within nursing homes, elderly care or adult social care
• Good knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
• Previous experience of clinical audits, governance or quality improvement
• Strong knowledge of medication management, safeguarding and infection control
• Confidence reviewing care plans and clinical documentation
• Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills
• The ability to work independently and manage a regional workload
• Good IT, reporting and analytical skills
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Yorkshire

Previous experience as a Regional Nurse, Quality Nurse, Clinical Quality Manager, Clinical Lead, Peripatetic Nurse or in a similar multi-site clinical role would be advantageous.
