I had a meeting with Shereen Brown yesterday who is the Head of Innovation at Overbury and a good friend of mine and we discussed ways she can get our feet in the door there and onto their books. She said for perm roles there she has the freedom to select any recruiter she likes so has asked if we can find a bid manager for them as she is keen to start interviewing. They don’t mind waiting for the right candidate but would like us to start looking straight away and get the ball rolling and has given us an opportunity to get on their payroll. I know it’s not a role we normally come across and its quite niche but if we can fill it then she said there’s also a project manager role coming up that she will pass on to us and will start using us anytime they are needing new site managers, project managers, bid mangers etc as that all goes through her. She said then it will help get us in there for us to hopefully one day help with their trades and labour supply in the future.

Salary - said to advertise at £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience (but has said for the right candidate she will pay up to £70,000)
Will be working on a bid and multimedia team for a tier 1 construction company.
Needs to have 5 years minimum experience as a bid manager and have previous construction or fit out experience.
Would need to be in design literate, advanced in adobe and have good writing skills.
Would need to be creative, think outside the box and set their self apart as Overbury are known for their attention to detail. They do a lot of bespoke packaging and video content when pitching to a client - it’s very much like an advertising campaign.
Will be Monday to Friday in their Manchester office but have said they can be flexible.

A bit about what you’d be doing
- Lead bid production and written content and design of bids and other business-related proposals
- Collating all relevant information for the tender document from the team members and subsequent reformatting
- Design and creation of bespoke tender submissions and interview/pitch documents, site graphics, marketing collateral
- Collaborate with the pre-construction and construction team and write content for tender submission whilst pulling out key messaging
- Liaison between marketing/pre-construction and construction teams
- Working closely with Contracts Managers to define win strategies and win themes for bids
- Research the client and understand their brand/values and what’s important to them and inject this into the tender submission.
- Set bid deliverables and facilitate win rooms and mid tender meetings
- Push boundaries and embrace new ways to create a winning bid document
- Liaise with multimedia team and storyboard video content
- Ensure the look and feel of every bid reflects the quality of our offer and brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the content, quality, and compliance of the bid
- Ensuring timely completion of required information and production of tender submission documents

- Ensure all pre-construction information is handed over to the delivery team
