 Job Purpose

  • Ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the successful management of designated independent channel

 

  • Budget and P&L responsibility for managed account/s

 

  • To develop very strong relationships with independent contacts across electrical retail, department stores, kitchen studios and garden centres. Employing highly effective and efficient communication

 

  • To identify and maximise all viable sales opportunities

 

  • To effectively plan and manage customers’ range and promotional calendars

 

  • To provide detailed sales vs. budget reports and analysis

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Account Management

  • Detailed understanding of the markets, categories, and products supplied by PCG
  • Complete understating of designated independent customers’ requirements including processes & timelines
  • To provide detailed analysis of the market and customer sales, highlighting key sales opportunities
  • Ability to make informed business recommendations (internally/ externally) based on the above
  • Effective management of customer proposals adhering to internal/ external deadlines, to include:
  • Identification of viable sales opportunities
  • Detailed internal briefing
  • Accurate completion of internal P&L document for sign off
  • Preparation and presentation of meetings
  • To host regular structured customer review meetings
  • To continually strive to develop internal processes to improve administration and operational efficiencies

 

Supply

  • To have a full understanding of supply & returns processes and internal planning documents
  • Ability to update order planners and present recommendations to customers

 

Database Maintenance

  • To ensure that customer range documents/price files are accurately maintained
  • To liaise with the Product team to ensure the co-ordination and timely receipt of product information for customer range reviews and promotional proposals

Experience

 

  • Minimum of 1 year’s independent channel experience
  • Experience working with CIH (Euronics) and/or Sirius buying group (desirable)

 

Education and/or qualifications

 

  • Educated to degree level (desirable)
