NT02 – Engineer scope

 

Project NT02 for CRUK Construction.

 

Duration 85 weeks.

 

Works package to include all substructure works and R C Frame works only.

 

 

On Site Engineer Scope of Services:

 

-            Establish and protect control points and datums for the project, transferring and management of point and datums as the project progresses with both the R C Frame and external works

-            Set out and agree with the Sub Contractor Quality control of all aspects of substructure and superstructure works i.e. piling, foundations, drainage, all road works, slabs, columns and core inclusive of specification of materials used.

-            Regular checking and monitoring that the superstructure and substructure works are undertaken within specification and drawings set out by the Structural Engineer, Architect and MEP Consultant.

-            Record keeping in accordance with quality and inspection test plans regards works involving sub structure and superstructure

-            Marking datums and GL’s as per project requirement – one control datum per core & 2 intersecting GL’s per level

-            Producing as built drawings and records for substructure and super structure – i.e. slab edge, level survey, core

-            Issuing of required permits before works commence i.e. permit to load, permit to pour, permit to strike and their Sign off.

-            Responsibility of checking delivered materials for substructure and superstructure – concrete, steel etc. meet the requirements of the Structural Specification and other specialists such as Waterproofing.

-            Ensure that hold points are kept within substructure and superstructure for statutory inspections by Building Warranty Provider and Local Building Inspector.

-            Arrange statutory building control inspections of substructure and superstructure works

-            Monitor program targets set with regards to substructure and superstructure works and report into the PM on a weekly basis on progress.

-            Supply all required engineering equipment to undertake level and EDM surveys

-            Reporting to site management for co-ordination of works to ensure progression of the project as per working program

-            Provide all equipment inc calibration certification, lines, paints, etc.. At regular intervals.

-            Slab edge survey for NT03 (masonry support requirement).

-            Complete Quality Inspection sheet prior to Subcontractor works commencing.

-            Inspect works following receipt of Quality assurance sheet.

-            Raise Non-conformance Reports to CR UK Staff.

-            Nett area check.

-            Set out line, levels and datums.

-            Check dimensional accuracy of sub and superstructure.

-            Setting out – landscaping.

-            Overall site wide surveying responsibility.

-            Review incoming Concrete test data and record test cube data logs.

-            Review Sub-contractors Queries.

-            Inspections of Workmanship.

-            Falsework Checking.

-            Interpret Inspection & Test Results

-            Survey (dilapidation, as built etc.)

-            Check Topo levels of the site from BAM and complete a grid of levels at 3m or 5m intervals.

-            Complete Delap and condition survey with live records.

-            Agree QA/ITP procedures between SC and MC to ensure all records and on-site procedures are compliant against the CR UK Contract and Sub Contract scope of works.

-            Assist the PM with Subcontract Engineers CV in advance of prestart.

-            Undertake / Conclude and manage the QA/ITP systems frame contractors and record as appropriate on site within the CR UK ISO management system.

  • Ensure survey equipment is regularly serviced and maintained, with calibration certificates available at all times to ensure daily duties are undertaken to meet compliance.
