Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care Home

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (subject to Ofsted registration)
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday with on-call rota

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a new children’s residential care home supporting up to 3 children aged 8–17 with EBD.

This is a rare opportunity to join at start-up stage, play a key role in the Ofsted registration, and shape a home from the ground up. All policies and procedures are already professionally written, allowing you to focus on leadership, compliance, and delivering high-quality care.

 

Flexible Entry Options

Pre-Registration (Part-Time / Remote):

  • Support Ofsted registration and interviews
  • Attend and pass the Ofsted Registered Manager interview
  • £300 per month during registration
  • £1,000 bonus on successful Ofsted interview
  • Fully funded Level 5 Diploma (can start during this phase)
  • Can be completed alongside current employment

Post-Registration (Full-Time):

  • Permanent Registered Manager role
  • Salary £50,000 – £60,000 per annum
  • Lead the home from opening onwards
  • Ongoing operational support

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Registered Manager in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
  • Lead safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards
  • Recruit, manage, and develop staff
  • Oversee care planning and positive outcomes
  • Manage budgets, operations, and partnerships
  • Lead Regulation 44 & 45 quality assurance
  • Participate in on-call rota

 

Essential Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience as Registered or Deputy Manager (children’s residential)
  • Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to complete – fully funded)
  • Strong Ofsted and regulatory knowledge
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Full UK driving licence
