Residential Care Worker – Children’s Services

?? Salary: £13.25 – £14.00 per hour + sleep-ins (£50 per sleep-in, approx. 5 per month)
?? Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
?? Shift Pattern: 1 day on / 2 days off
?? Setting: Children’s Residential Home (Ofsted rated Good)

Our client, a well-established provider of children’s residential care, is seeking Residential Care Workers to join their supportive team in Rochdale.

The Role

You will provide high-quality care and support to young people aged 10–18 with complex needs, helping them to develop independence, emotional resilience, and life skills in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting young people with daily routines and activities
• Implementing individual care plans and structured programmes
• Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviours
• Maintaining a safe, compliant, and supportive home environment
• Working collaboratively as part of a dedicated residential care team

Requirements

• Experience in children’s residential care desirable but not essential
• A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of challenging behaviours (SEMH, EBD)
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred care
