Senior Children’s Residential Care Worker

Location: Rochdale, OL12
Hours: 150 hours per month + 10 sleep-ins
Pay: £13.50 per hour + £60 per sleep-in

Working alongside the Registered Home Manager, you will implement placement plans, supervise staff, and ensure all safeguarding protocols are followed.

Requirements

  • Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Proven experience in residential childcare.
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
  • Commitment to creating a nurturing, supportive environment for young people.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and development of young people.
  • Lead, supervise, and support junior staff.
  • Assist management with policies, procedures, and resource allocation.
  • Cover various shifts, including sleep-ins.
  • Liaise with external agencies to advocate for young people.
  • Promote an inclusive, respectful, and professional work culture.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding standards.
