About the Company:
Blossoming Futures is a new therapeutic children's residential provider in the Lancashire area of the North West of the UK. We provide loving, nurturing homes for children from the age of 7 up to 18 years old. We provide care and support for children with complex needs in traditional family- style homes in community settings.
We are looking to recruit passionate individuals to support children and young people in a residential home setting offering high quality residential care for children and young people with adverse childhood experiences and who may also be living with mental health conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties and complex needs (SEBD).
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Team Leaders to join us in providing meaningful care and support for our service users.
This role holds promise of progression to Deputy Manager within 12 months.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Team Leader to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in childcare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive the implementation of individual care plans. As a Team Leader, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that the needs of each child are met while fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of childcare staff in delivering exceptional care to children.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and external stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
- Drive initiatives that promote the well-being and development of children in the residential setting.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's progress and incidents.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards within the residential environment.
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Act as a role model for staff and children, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a residential or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of childcare practices and child development principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's experiences within the residential setting.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children's lives.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations while maintaining professionalism at all times
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care and/or Children and Young People’s service or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 Years working in a Residential Support Worker setting
- Minimum of 2 Year experience of leading/managing a team of support workers
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
