Residential Support Worker – Children’s Homes
Supporting children and young people to achieve brighter futures
Location: Newcastle – NE3, NE4 & NE63
Salary: £12.52 - £12.77 per hour dependent on experience + £60 per sleep
Hours: Full-time, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
A respected and growing provider of children’s residential care is looking for dedicated Residential Support Workers to join their team. Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day care and support
- Build positive, trusting relationships
- Support emotional, social, and educational development
- Help maintain a safe, structured setting
- Participate in activities and daily routines
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people – essential
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve it
