Deputy Manager – Children's Residential Home | £37,000 – £40,000 + Career Progression
Location: Greater Manchester
Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
Bright Lanterns is seeking an experienced and committed 
Deputy Manager to support the launch and growth of a brand-new therapeutic children’s home in Greater Manchester. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the Registered Manager and leadership team in building a high-quality, nurturing home from the ground up.

We are looking for someone with strong leadership qualities, a passion for trauma-informed care, and the ability to help drive outstanding outcomes for young people. You will play a key role in developing staff, overseeing care delivery, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified and experienced children’s residential care professional with a Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards Level 5).
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care.
  • At least 1 year in a Senior or Team Leader position, with experience supporting or supervising staff.
  • Strong working knowledge of The Children’s Homes Regulations 2015Quality Standards, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Confidence to step up and lead the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
  • A team player who is passionate about helping young people heal, grow, and achieve their full potential.
  • full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
