We are seeking an experienced registered manager for a 5-bed EBD children's home of mixed genders based in Hazel Grove, Stockport.

 

Regulation: The candidate must have a minimum of two years' experience working in a children's home (under 16's) in the last five years, and at least one of those years must have been in a supervisory position. Unfortunately, this means we cannot consider candidates who have worked up to a manager role in other industries (unregulated or 16+) - Ofsted simply won't allow it.

 

Our current manager is leaving as he's found managing a 5 bed to be stressful. He had come to us from a prior deputy role so we are keen to place someone who already has RM experience to avoid this happening again.

 

A registered manager working for Choices Homes for Children receives a lot of support allowing them to concentrate on managing their staff and helping achieve better outcomes for the vulnerable young people in their care. At head office we take care of rota's, recruitment, petty cash, monthly compliance and auditing, arranging training, any grievances or other HR related issues, IT and anything systems related.

  

Any candidate who is currently studying for their Level 5 in Leadership and Management we are happy to transfer that to ourselves to allow them to complete their industry qualification.

 

Due to our large senior management team, on call duties are shared equally so an RM will only have to do 1 out of 7 days on call.

 

A registered manager with us would have regular support from our Responsible Individual and Area Manager and attend weekly managers meetings where best practice can be shared.
