Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Location: Cronton, WA8
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (9am–5pm)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at a children's residential home in Cronton. You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager, taking a lead on day-to-day operations and ensuring high standards of care for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Registered Manager in running the home
• Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to staff
• Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and compliance
• Step in as Acting Manager during absences
• Promote a nurturing and structured environment for young people

Requirements:

• Level 3 or 4 NVQ/Diploma in Children and Young People (Essential)
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Desirable)
• At least 3 years’ experience in residential childcare
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or senior role
• Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection
