Job Description- Quality Control Lead.

An exciting new role within the Company and a chance to join the ITS Leadership Team structure to build and maintain the highest of Q.C. standards of our products, for our customers.

  • The Role
  • To establish Best in Class quality control throughout the business and ultimately to our customers.
  • Close liaison with all the relevant team members throughout the business.
  • Close liaison with the Procurement/ Sales/Production/Warehouse Department’s throughout.
  • Escalating to the Operations Manager and relevant Departmental Leads to agree remedial plan.
  • Managing and ensuring delivery of the relevant timelines relating to these remedial plans.
  • Create and deliver to the Board relevant KIP’s surrounding Remedials costs savings, Q.C. Issues Log, RFT rates, OTIF rates. Costs of repair, customer escalation risk.
  • Analyse this data to identify trends and solutions.
  • Q.C. check all inbound goods at the point of delivery before they go to put away.
  • Q.C. check all areas of production.
  • QC check outbound goods before despatch.

Skills/Experience Requirement

  • The applicant must be from a Quality Control background with a clear understanding of requisite Q.C. standards required.
  • Advantageous to have experience in the Kitchen and Bedroom manufacturing industry.
  • Must be IT literate.
  • Must be numerate / literate.
  • Must be conversant with Microsoft Office package especially Word and Excel.
  • Experience of designing /completing and delivering Quality Control KPI’s.
  • Able to communicate with colleagues to extract and provide relevant information and ultimately solutions.
  • Must have a ‘Can Do’ and ‘Flexible’ attitude and be prepared work with all areas of the business.
  • Relevant Quality Control qualifications desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be quality control focussed and able to have challenging conversations when required to achieve the requisite high standards.
  • Likewise have an ability to train those in need of upskilling on how to achieve those Q.C. high standards
  • Must have worked in a Quality Control environment and be able to find speedy solutions, at minimal cost to the business on QC matters.
