Purley Park Trust is recruiting an Assistant Manager for one of the care homes on our main site. This is a rare opportunity to develop your career and have a positive impact on people’s lives.

You will:

  • Support the Manager to provide an excellent service to the adults with learning disabilities we support.
  • Lead the team and manage the service in the absence of the Manager.
  • Support the Manager in planning and organising the service and to carry this out in their absence when required.
  • Ensure that the needs and wishes of the people we support are assessed, recorded and met.
  • Actively contribute to improving and developing the service we provide to each of the people we support.
  • Manage, support and develop the team and individual members within it.
  • Ensure that the service received by each person we support meets all standards required by Purley Park Trust, the Care Quality Commission and others.
  • Ensure our values and our commitment to the people we support are evident in everything we do

We offer:

Hours: 37 per week. You will work a range of shift patterns including weekends and the opportunity.
Salary: SCP22- £27195- SCP 26- £30,707 pa along with financial rewards for long service; 28 days leave per year inclusive of bank holidays; free health benefits and life insurance; great discounts and offers on high street spending through Blue light card scheme ; a full induction and ongoing training and career development opportunities.

Candiadate must have:

- Level 4 in health and social care
- Previous experience in Learning Disability care setting
- Knowledge of medication administration and ability to follow prescribed protocols
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with the people we support, their families, and staff members
- Ability to develop and implement care plans based on individual needs
