Company: ERIKS
Job Title: TIG Welder
Location: Technology Centre, Industrial Hose, 2 Scotia Close, Northampton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN4 7HR
Pay/Salary: There are two pay bandings for workers on-site as detailed below that each worker will be paid between. Please advertise and recruit this role at the lower pay banding. There is the potential based on candidate’s performance in the interview that the base hourly rate could be increased at the discretion of the manager on offer for a position, but this is not guaranteed. This is because this branch of ERIKS specialises in a particular niche so training and development will most likely need to be given. There is the potential for candidates pay rates to increase after 6 months (3 months on temp contract and after passing the 3-month probation period once permanent with ERIKS.) The middle band value below is the maximum cap for all workers on site in this role. Please make candidates aware that their pay for this role will initially be £13.81/hour unless the manager specifies otherwise.
If candidates want a certain minimum hourly rate to be considered that is higher than £13.81/hour, please specify this in the coversheet of their application.
Lower- £26,924/annum, £13.81/hour
Middle - £33,655/annum, £17.26/hour
Working Hours/Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm, 37.5 hours/week, 1 x 15 min paid break in morning, 30 mins unpaid lunch
Type of Employment: 12 weeks temporary to permanent (please inform candidates that should they be successful in the 9-week ‘probation period’ of the temp contract then they will be offered a permanent position)
Start Date: ASAP
Christmas ‘shutdown’ is Thursday 25th December – Thursday 1st January 2026, last working day Wednesday 24th December 2025, returning Friday 2nd January 2026.
